May is the month for nurses and AnsMed as a nursing agency that provides nursing and home care services and having a training department that trains in Professional Caregiving, majority of our staff are nurses.
We won’t miss the chance to use this month when nurses are being celebrated worldwide to celebrate our nurses.
Given that there are only four weeks in a month, we will use each week to celebrate one nurse.
Our first nurse to be celebrated in this nurses’ month is Madam Gloria Panford, who is a tutor at the Training Department.
Madam Gloria after getting a Diploma in General Registered Nursing from the Nurses and Midwifery Training College in Kumasi went further to bag a BSc in Nursing and BSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Cape Coast.
She has eighteen (18) years of working experience, as a Registered General Nurse and currently works at the Nima Polyclinic.
At her leisure time, she likes to read books and articles on health, she also enjoys imparting knowledge to others. Learning new skills and listening to music are also some things she likes to do in her free time.
Ms. Panford’s inspiration for being a nurse is to serve and offer comfort to humanity and she does that consistently with a lot of dedication to the best of her ability.
Her favorite quote is by Tony Robbins and it says; “It’s not leadership by position that allows people to succeed, it’s the capacity to influence the thoughts, the feelings, the emotions and the actions of other human beings”
Madam Gloria, your service to humanity is deeply appreciated, Ayekoo!!!
